For British wings, but my point was they are probably BELGIAN wings, if you have done the relevant countrys jump course you are allowed to wear thier wings where they wear them see Forkhill pic in album they are german para wings and i can assure you if it was against Queens rules and regs no way would the RSM have allowed it .

Whether you have earned them or not, they can still tell you what you can or can not wear on your uniform. there is no god given right in the British Army to wear any unapproved decoration,badge or other insignia that has not been approved by the MoD

You were allowed to wear another countries parachute wings (if you were entitled) on the the right breast of your smock, not on any other uniform. That was up until 82.
There was an officer with a double barreled name, which I can't remember,
who had a about 8 different sets he could wear.

got1, that rule still applies today. Paratroopers who have done another countries jumps course are allowed to wear those wings on the right breast of their smock.

Im not sure weather its "officially" allowed, but our CO cuts about with Yank wings on his smock, and half the battalion has done either the American, Polish or Italian jumps courses.

I will have to ask said C/Sgt which wings he wears on his chest. They are identical to our British wings.

Guys, what wings you wear isn`t summat that I`ll be getting upset about I thought Belgian wings were a tad fatter than yours, mind.

Anyhoo, I just wanted to drop in and say how much I hope Para Reg makes an Operational Drop. I can understand why the Crabs don`t like it, but hey, here`s an idea Let`s send the Crab Regt in first to secure the DZ I mean after all, they are the RAF`s Commandos Phwarrrrgh
Seriously guys, good luck with it, massed daytime drop would be farking brills for you lot and the old Harry Recruitment would go through the roof, you`d be beating them off with a stick.

Me G&B landed today and in there I see Royal is already in the Stan doing Force Protection for when you boys arrive. J Coy 40 Cdo has been there since Feb 14. Which is a shame really as those nice airforce lads won`t get a look in, now
Also, it looks very much like elements of the Brigade will deploy in the autumn. Should make a nice change from their recent Winter Deployment to the Land of Nog
