Fun?! Imagine doing bottom field determination tests in mud up to your eyeballs...

60 guys in the troop, you can have 59 super switched on lads and one lad who isn't and it's mud runs for everybody...

Funny on their first ex, wonder how quiet my troop will be now, if everyone watched the show and saw the clip about noise discipline
POC: Passed 21 June '06
AIB: Passed 28 June '06
AIB round 2: Failed!
PRMC: 26 June '07: Passed
RT: 24th Sept '07
Week 27 - Final Ex after Easter leave - blargh
Mrs Bevell of the AIB is still officially the nicest lady in the world.

Right I've dug this old thread up for a good reason!

If you didn't already know then ITV are re-running 'Commando: On the Front Line' on ITV 4 Sunday 2100-2200. These shows are an hour long as opposed to the 30 min shows that were originally broadcast on ITV 1.

If like me you have missed any of the hour episodes then check out ITV Catch up page, link at the bottom of the page. The hour long epiosdes look much better than was originally shown and prehaps give a better insight into training. Most of us slagged off the original broadcasting, so have a gander at these and decided if it's cack or not.

There were loads of Commando: On the Front Line threads but I chose this one because the others were more about individual episodes, whereas this one is more about when we first learnedit was to be screened, so seems only right to bung the new episodes on here!

Oh, and by the way- the programmes themselves expire after 30 days, so don't leave it too late! (Not sure how long they have left either! :o )

Follow the links through- easy enough. Enjoy!

ITV's Catch Up page.

Nah this is gen, AJ. Should be in the latest edition of the Radio Times. I found out by flicking through the ITV website. Was looking for some stuff on The Fixer. Which in itself is a bloody good programme!

Of course, if I am wrong, I stand corrected. Just have a watch of ITV 4 on Sunday, 2100-2200.

They always said right from the off that it would be edited to hour long programs after to be shown on ITV4. It was expected a bit earlier in the year than this though.

Does anyone know if the hour long episodes will be on the DVD, or the half hour episodes?

I went to the ITV website where they give you the option to watch the episodes of the 'Commando' show they've been running,...but when I click to watch a specific episode it just takes me to the home ITV page......

Anyone else have a problem watching them....or know of another link to them somewhere else?

cheers

If you're outside the UK you can't access them due to copyright issues, (I can't watch them either).

By the way, I've sorted your spelling, and capitalisation for you (again).
For a supposed university graduate your written English is atrocious.

Sorry, I was in a slight rush when I stared writing that post. I thought I did Capitalize all of my 'I's.'

.... It seems Microsoft Word has destroyed any chance of my proper use of punctuation.

I'll keep a keen eye out for my mistakes....or just type it in Word

Wont happen agian T_T...today at least :o

It's 213 mins according to amazon, so by my maths if it was the orginal broadcast shows it would be:

(1X60)+(7X30)=270 mins

If they were all the 50 min versions (cut out the ad breaks- there would be at least two)

8X50=400mins

So, unless anyones got a copy, who the frig knows!

I have got it! The shows are the same as were shown on tv – i.e. the hour long one and the remaining 30min ones. It also has the 55 year old commando programme on it.
