hi i am sorry to keep talking about boots but i was wondering if anyone can tell me what boots are popular with royal marines, paras and the SAS/SBS.
ANY ANSWERS WOULD BE GREAT

To each his own. You'll just have to get down to cotswold or wherever and find whats right for you. Guards SNCO's I knew liked Lowa. Signals DS preferred Trazeta(?). RM officer swore by Berghaus. RMR officer went with Danner. What are your requirements? If you're looking for a high boot you'll probably end up with Danner.

i used Danner boots and they never let me down but its a very personnal choce.....good luck

I think you mean the boots that are like the black ones you get in that place near the other place :wink:

I have a couple of pairs of Lowa combat boots, marvelous. :)
Socks! I still have my standard issue olive socks that come up to my knees, everytime i have a clear out i find another pair or the odd one. :o
Great for working outside in this weather. :)

I was in Silvermans a few weeks backandan RM was looking for U.S. goretex-lined desert boots. Belleville or matterhorn?

Danner Acadia desert boots seem to be pretty good. Havent tried them myself, but according to the reviews they don't seem to last that well, especially considering the pricetag.

For year-round black boots in Europe I think Lowa might be better for during the cold months as it seems better insulated.
