Greetings from Wurttemberg

Post by albu »

Hi,

I'm Alfred from Neudenau - working as software consultant at a german company like walmart (we're in Germany No. 5). I'm 46 years old, married and a son of 11 years. his sport is table-tennis. My hobby is collecting army-post of all kind of nations (latest: MajGen Packett, COMKFOR of US-army wrote to me a personal letter...). I'm also webmaster of a homepage with that theme: http://www.bw-feldpost.de. It's mostly in german, but many parts are also in english...

Greetings and happy new year from germany

thanks for the "welcome" - now I'm collecting since 1982 - first only german bundeswehr, as the did an exercise where they trained the first time army-post (exercise called "leuchtendes morgenrot" (not to translate). I found it interesting, other exercises of bundeswehr with fieldpost came an with UNTAC in cambodia the first "real" fieldpost...today germany is with fieldpost in bosnia, kosovo, kabul and kunduz, tons of letters a day - included military post from other nations (e.g.: british soldiers in afghanistan, op fingal, can be reached via german fieldpost!).

And there is no way to buy it in a shop or stamp-dealer...thats makes it interesting

Hi albu, Welcome to the madhouse and all the best to you and your family in 2004. We could get Artist to write you a letter, but you must promise to share it with the rest of us.

Aye = Andy. :lol:

...mmmhhh - it's no problem to show the cards/letters sent to me in this forum...the only thing is, someone should write :wink: - and sorry, if some words or sentences are miss-spelled or used in wrong matter. I have learned english about 30 years ago in school (age 46). Today I often talk to people about computer - but thats a technical way to talk and not "smalltalk"
