The World In Union
As a Rugby man, I think the ABs deserved to lose, they were sloppy, ill disciplined and had no answers to the Aussie defence and showed little flair or determination.
As a Brit living in NZ I feel a lot safer now that the ABs are out. Had we brits had got through to the final and had then played and beaten the ABs in the final, the local Ku KLux Klan would have been round here sharpish burning an effigy of Jonny Wilkinson on my front lawn.
To paraphrase "Rugby in New Zealand is not a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that"

Glad to see you made it down under mate
Just watched the game, this arvo. Bloody good or what? Johnny was brills, specially that field goal. Neil Back was busy
Nice to see Kermit still hasn`t lost his sense of fair play
One more game, against a side they`ve beaten this year, against a side who aren`t anywhere near former Wallaby teams, against a side who play well when they`re winning but go to ratshit when they aren`t, is all that stands between England and the World Cup.
They can do it
Aye,

Whooppee
Up your mes amis!! Fantastic! :laola:
Mind you, I hope the Aussies peaked against the All Blacks - they looked good yesterday. Can't wait till the final. OK, OK, so I'll have to.
Am I alone - but what is Dallaglio achieving these days?? Gets the ball, runs two paces and goes down. I don't seem to see him creating much lately.
Yeah it was great but what happened to our line-outs? C, r, a, p.
Still it's the final score that counts!!
Oh, and congratulations to Jason Leonard. And a forward, too. It's almost unbelievable.

although it was a decent game, I think England may have to up the ante next week to be in with a chance of winning.
Can't rely on Wilco for the points ALL the time.
I fear the Aussies may be gunning for him in the next game.
Need to use players like Greenwood (great game today) and Robinson more.
And Dallaglio DOES need to create more plays.
Cap'n Johnson needs to practice a little more discipline in not giving away penalties right in front of our own posts. Going in from the wrong side of a ruck and hands on the ball while it is still inside the ruck/maul.
Hope he's not taking a page out of the Springboks training book....
Come on England
Swing low......

IF you haven't watched the England France game...... don't scroll down!
ENGLAND WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! muaahahahhaha...damn great game, all Englands points coming from Wilkonsons boot, good on ya mate. People will begin saying the English are a 1 dimensional team, as some already have here, but in reality, if on the penalties the English had gone for the lineout rather then the penalty kick, a try would have come. But just better to play it safe. Can't wait till the final

Scintillating - 83%

Very northern hemisphere - 1%
Dull, dull, dull - 10%

I don’t think that’s the result the Sydney Morning Herald was after.
Archie,
On the other hand, had NZ beaten England in the final it would have meant four years of utter hell living in Kiwitopia, I’m starting to believe there’s a God, and he supports England.

Archie says,
True enough Spitz, trainee cabby and gin drinker, it would have been hell.
A warm sunny hell with Christmas day Barbie's on the beach, a place where petrol costs less than 40p a litre and where people are more interested in their quality of life rather than their personal "image".
Suits me fine!

Why are you describing WA? Thought you lived in The Land Of The Long White Cloud, Bro?A warm sunny hell with Christmas day Barbie's on the beach, a place where petrol costs less than 40p a litre and where people are more interested in their quality of life rather than their personal "image".
Better than living in Queensland, The Land Of The long White Sock
Did anyone bother to watch Kermit getting spanked, again, this arvo? Biggest-ever points margin in a third place play-off.
That`s one for yer trophy cabinet then, Kermit.
Er, perhaps not.
I`ll get me coat

Drat HH,
Ain't got skyTV. What a bummer. Looks like the ABs had an off-day in the semi's. But once Jonah gets his new kidney, watch out.
Presumably you'll be enjoying a few tinnies with your new-found Aussie friends on Saturday.
Good Luck!! Just make sure we win. Saw the Aussie coach on TV today saying how brilliant the England pack were. The psychological warfare is obviously well under way.
Lucky you!! Bet it's great over there at the moment!!
