These were anything but ugly... I have photographic evidence! So many women and so little time. It was like shooting fish in a barrel... my gun wasn't loaded though, well, maybe a couple of rounds

As far as lager goes i do like xxxx but i tend to go for the odd pint of cider, must be the country boy in me! Unless i want to get very very drunk in which case i go for Stella which luckily doesnt make me unleash the evil!
On a good night all three followed by a bird which was ugly when i came in but i then found suddenly quite attractive......until morning anyway!

Beers.
Tolly Cobbold still around?
They brewed a great mild.
Some of the mirco breweries in the US are similar to some of the brews I remember in the UK,Samuel Adams in Boston(no,not the first Boston)has a good pale ale and a slightly less remarkable brown ale.John Courage,again in the UK made the unforgetable"Directors"bitter.
Abbot ale also comes to mind as a good tangle foot along with dog bolter ale,whose brewers name now,sadly escapes me.I think it involved the word firkin.
I agree with Frank and Artist,"Guiness is good for you"Anyone remember the "Guiness Clocks"?
While in the South of Ireland some time back I tasted the wonderful Half and Half which is half Guiness and half Murphy's.I personaly think Murphy's is a little smoother.
After imbibing many of the above the local Guarda gave me a ride back to my boat.
As for these new chemical lagers,I beleive they have no place on this thread.(1664 Indeed)!

I like Sapporo, Anchor, Tiger, San Miguel, Red Horse, Harp, Carlsberg and most Honey brews. I mix beer up sometimes, like bud and harp, hersheys syrup and saporro, Coke and Carlsberg, I like strange stuff.

Frank 1664 is a French beer, its nice with a slice of lime, I had a bottle of rolling rock yesterday, that’s quite a nice one, goes down extremely easy as well

The shite Norge beer, referred to by my learned friend, is E-Dahl’s Pilsner.
Splitting headaches all round
Kronenbourg do two brews, white label and seize anne soixante-neuf, both pee.
Continental( i.e. non-UK brewed) Stella is good; Orangeboom is better, in a small glass with a "jonge jenever" (pronounced "hung ian aver") chaser.
Bloody good way to start the day, followed by ertesoep and rye bread. Kin freezing in Holland, in winter
Tiger gives me frightful wind(frightful for Mrs H, that is, Pardon)
Local Oz beer is referred to as piss, whatever the quality. Fosters is a UK invention and nobody outside of Queensland drinks XXXX. VB is my choice, but the top beer has to be Crownies. Local draught Guiness is made using cane sugar and tastes shite. This is the only thing I miss
Any bottled beers are available, and there is a Belgian pub, where they stock all the popular "White" and "Blonde" beers, and serve them in differant shaped glasses, for all the pretentious bastards. Like, does it make a differance

I'm partial to a pint of Caffreys at all other times though.
Artist: I think Cist is a small growth that could be found on ones person. Cisk is a Maltese lager though
I preferred Hopleaf when I went to Malta on my hols.
Edit: One observation re: San Miguel. It's great bottled, but I had a pint in the Tapas bar on Gun Wharf in Portmouth and it was filth. Crap beer to have on tap - but top notch when bottled!
Edit again: Lets not forget Hoegaarden (spelling???) - bloody delicious!
