I wan;t trying to sound racist. I assure you I'm not. My wife is Asian after all. I was just describing my last trip to the mall. It was frustraiting. I'm not too P/C, sorry, I generalize. I'm sorry I ruined your day. I agree this thread is so way off topic, it should be deleted. I get agitated, I was used to living free, I mean really free, and I idolized guys like Jeffereson, Paine, and Washington when I was a kid. Life over here has changed drastically in the past 2 years. Change for alot of Americans isn't easy, for some who profit from it in some way it is. As for politics here, watch the news, it is silly and almost commical. Read our Constitution, then look at the 2000 election, okay maybe it wasn't conspiracy, but it wasn't a 2/3rds majority, but the Supreme Court favored against the Constitution. We have troops engaged in combat, yes they are still fighting, and our leaders have failed in their duty to declare a war, we hear we are at war with terrorist"s, well then declare it as the law states.
I still think you can't legislate morals in an immoral society. I think attitudes are what needs to change, yeah we are a violent society, but we eat breath and sleep violence here. I'm sick of it as well. I got a son and I worry about some deranged idiot like Moore talks about walking in his class room, every American parent worries about this, but laws won't prevent it, they will just punnish it. What we need is a respect for life attitude here. The rant on the other page was supposed to be funny, not derogatory. As for the younger folks here, I wasn't aware of the youth of the audience, I'll power down. Good kids are our only hope for the future, they need to know that. As for our boards, they are boring, people just want to discuss medals, uniform regulations and other ignorant parade soldier topics. I wasn't a parade soldier, clean uniforms, medals and shinney boots rarely appeared on Whitey and his unit, we worked hard and long and never really got dressed up for much.
As I said before, I just want to maintain the life, freedoms and humor I had in America as a little boy. I didn't think that was so bad.
Life is too short to be hanging onto terror alerts, wasting your time worrying about things you can't control, I just want to go back to the days when people in general were good, politicians did right for the masses and not the money buckets minority groups(Not a racial minority, the other one, small group)

I will say I'm interrested in learning more about the RM's. They are legend even over here, the war of 1812, they burned every barracks they found here except the US Marine Barracks out of a brotherhood type respect, all Marines and Corpsman are told this story in training. Ever since I always wanted to know more about the RM's.
