medical (s8)

Post by raindodger »

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone could help me I just got my medical back and it says that due to my self harm i have not passed.

it says on the form that if you have more than two seperat occassions of slef harm it classes as a S8. It does not say i am classed as S8

I would just like to know 1st off what does S8 mean and 2nd if i can appeal against it?

With out being rude the Army is not the place for some one that might do some thing silly. How there is a lot of highly dangerous stuff laying around and the last thing they want is some one that might do some thing daft.

You can try and appeal the decision by maybe getting an evaluation from a psychologist that says your stable and presenting that. Although i'd say it's highly unlikely, as Tab says, the shooting range is not an ideal place for a potentially suicidal individual.
