Medical appeal
Around August last year, I applied for the Army, but I failed on my Medical due to my right eye being weaker than my left eye and also for back problems that I had for about a year in 2008/09. I am trying to appeal against it because I am part of the Army Cadet Force and I can prove that I am medically fit enough to join the Army. Could it be possible to have some help to appeal against my medical? How would I go about appealing for it?
Re: Medical appeal
How much weaker is one eye against the other, also what does your doctor say about your back as he has to put in a report on it, and if his report is not good then there will be little you can do.

Re: Medical appeal
Speak to the online career team on www.army.mod.uk/careers they will be able to talk you through the most up to date appeal process.
Re: Medical appeal
The fact that you are in the Cadets means absolutley nothing with regards to your medical suitabily for the ARMY. Your right eye is your shooting eye. You can appeal against the decision but not against the standards. You can't prove anything, because if you don't make the medical standards you haven't got a leg to stand on. Best of luck....don't hold your breath.

Hi I was just wondering if you would pass medical having a metal plate in your leg. It happend five years ago and is fine now I'm very active on and I've been doing kickboxing for the last 12 months. I'm looking to join the RAF as a gunner.

All you can do is ask, but don't be surprised if the answer is no
