Military Jacket identification - Does anyone know where this

Post by solar »

Hi.

I am trying to find a military jacket which i believe to be African. Can anyone help at all? It has been VERY hard to track down so far....

I have got a couple of images of it.... Sorry for the poor quality. They were captured from a video clip. The bottom image is of the same jacket i think, but in green rather than black....

Any help in where i can buy this jacket would be REALLY appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!

The colours Green, Gold and Red are those of Ethopia and that is the best I can do for you with out a close up of the badge

If anyone else is able to help and confirm what type of jacket this is, which country it is from and most importantly, where we could buy one it would be greatly appreciated!!!! We are making a film and the clothing (including this jacket) was stolen from a car that had a lot of our equipment inside. As we were half way through filming we are really stuck unless we can find another jacket like this.....

Thanks!!!

The badge on the back of the jacket is of Africa, so I think I will stick with my orignal idea that it is based on the colours of Ethopia. All I can suggest that you trawl through all the internet sites you can find and see what they can come up with

Although the colours are Ethiopian it could have been produced anywhere in the world and may not even be military. It could very well be "designer". Also, given that there's the Rastafarian link between Jamaica and Ethiopia it could have been designed there and produced in, say China, and sold anywhere in the world.

There's an example of a similar logo on Eblag.

Buy a black shirt, stick some 'Red, Gold & Green' tape on it and shoot the rest of your film as out of focus as the shots you've uploaded and you'll be fine.........

btw.... that jacket's about as 'military' as Ghadaffi's medals......
