RMP fitness

Post by darylc »

I've put this down as my first choice. Anyone know the run time and other fitness info?

Before anyone bites my arse, let me just say I did search but I've gotten mixed results. Some say 10:30, the army website says 14:00 but the career breif the Careers office gave me says this:

PSS(R) STANDARDS:

SL: 25 CA: 60 LM: 15 RUN:L3

I take it these will be the most accurate so can someone tell me what these mean?

Thanks :D

Keep your sexual preferences to yourself.

As for PSS(R), that's Physical Selection Standard (Recruit). No idea what the other random letters mean but as you have to do a static lift, jerry can carry, press-ups and chin ups, as well as a run I imagine they are all related ......but some well paid individual has decided to put it in 'military speak' and also in abbreviations to confuse everyone. Incidentally, I very much doubt that the SL: 25 means you only have to static lift 25kgs (as your question on the Ars$e website infers) 25kgs is about four Big Macs.. I think most people can lift 25kg without noticing so it isn't much of a physical test.

EDIT to add: Mind you, we are talking 'RMP fitness' which is a bit of an oxymoron, so perhaps 25kgs is at the upper end of the phys brackets for those fine specimens..........

Play nice boys...
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
