Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
I apologise if this has been asked before.
I'm a citizen of Latvia (member of the EU) who recently moved to England. (I've been in and out of the country for a while now, visiting family, holidays, did one year of school over here (GCSE I believe), or plain work). I am 21 years old. Male.
I'd like to do something with my life, something meaningful. Pursuit of millions does not suit me so I've been entertaining the idea of enlisting the army for quite some time now, British Army to be specific.
Problem is I don't hold a British passport so I am stuck. Is is possible to enlist whilst being EU member? If not, what's the process of obtaining citizenship, restrictions, timeframe?
If you kind people could clear it out for me, it'd be huge help.

The best thing is to speak to the people at your nearest Recruiting Office and they should be able to tell whats what
