Re: systems engineer technician jobs
Did you not do a Resettlement Course ffs??
AEC or your unit Resettlement Officer should have been able to gear you up to appropriate jobs for your quals and prepping your CV/job applications etc all as part of the prep before they gave you a swift kick up the arse and booted you out onto civvy street......
I mean come on now, how well did you prepare for your transition back to civvy street? Did you not know this was coming? Did you spend all of your spare time pissing your wages up against the wall and only now it's suddenly dawned on you that you're now going to have to work for a living? (Or have you just come out of Colly and been booted out?
) Or is it the 'finding a job that matches your abilities' that's proving more of a challenge?
As for your specific question.... How about using most of your (now previous) job title? How's about Communications Systems Engineer..? Or even Communications Technology Engineer ......Google it.... Shit loads of jobs come up (WARNING - some of these jobs may involve installing dishes for SkyTV) Submit your CV through to the normal sites and if you've been sufficiently vague with your CV and over-egged your experience without putting yourself in a position that can blow up in your face you should be ok. My missus used to work for Vodafone just down the road from us... The network guys were nearly all ex R Sig bleeps.
Anyway, if you're a Class 2 I would have thought that shortly after starting your phase two course you and everyone else on your course would have been told by your Troop staff to report to the "NVQ office"?/? If you didn't then what a wasted opportunity.........
Good luck
