i am 26, and have been a prison officer for 5 years. ive always been interested in joining the Army.
I am so bored now in work, and really want to change my career! i have a few questions
1) is 26 too old to join up? i know it says up to 33, but will i be out of place!
2) im married with a newborn baby, is this unfair to them, what can i expect?

any advice would be much appreciated, from people who have been in my situation

You are not to old to join the Army, BUT what about your family. You must be fairly settled in a house or a flat, so what happens there if you join the Army. Will your wife be happy being left alone for so long while you are in training or shipped overseas. It is not just what you want as you must consider the other people in your life.
