joining

Post by its like that »

i cant find anywhere, where it says about the joining process you have to go through when joining the raf. im interested in the raf and the marines, and i know about the prmc and poc in the royal marines but, can some one please let me know what you have to go through when joining the raf. (qualifications, how long it takes, the pay when you get through) please go in to as much detail as you like because i would really like to know.

and also when and if you pass, whats it like, do you have a camp you stay on or what?

is there things you can specialize in ?

ive been on the raf website but i havent really been able to come up with answers?

so if anyone could help me with this i will be very grateful thanks.

How can any one advise you if we don't know what you want to do in RAF. They have a full range of careers from Pilots to the RAF Regiment then there are all the trades in between that help keep the planes flying.

To be a PTI in the Corps (RM) you need to have been a Royal Marine for a few yrs then passed the Junior command course (about 5-7yrs). IIRC!!

Try this shortcut...http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/phys ... ructor.cfm

and this one...http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/royalmarine ... lisations/

The RM one isn't as in depth as the RAF site but I'd suggest a visit to the AFCO..

In the Corps you need to be a Cpl to be a PTI and that will take you 5-7 yrs..

Chances are that if you complete training, you will go to a Cdo Unit or elsewhere and do whats needed. You could be sent off to another specialisation but once promoted you can apply for a PTI, ML, PW etc.
