MP's and Medals

Post by Tab »

Have you ever wondered why so many MP's are making a flying visit to Afghanistan, well it is not to see the troops.

FFS how much lower can they go?

IF some of them had earned them the hard way maybe Defence wouldn't be in the mess it's in now...

Don't you have to spend 30 days in theatre any more - or are they giving medals for drop-in visits?

Do war correspondents get medals?

I can't say that I have ever seen a civilian war correspondent wearing medals for any of the conflicts that they have covered

Me neither Tab - and some of them were at the sharp end for longer than many servicemen. Still, campaign medals are for the military aren't they? What on earth are MPs getting them for?

I haven't risen to the bait have I?  I mean, are they really getting medals??? :o

Come on you scrotes! Own up! I fell for it hook line and sinker didn't I?

Now having filled in the Petition and sent off, there has been response from Downing Street to say that this is a pack of lies and it is not happening, which is one of the things that does happen if a petition is flawed.

Although still listed as open and not rejected.

Perhaps a pre-emptive strike in case MP's think they should get medals for their 'fact finding' trips.

iv filled in a few of these petitions but i get the feeling they fall on deaf ears. I have a feeling this country is being overtaken by softy liberals and im increasingly feeling like i dont want to be associated with it.
