Whats more beneficial?

Post by nel »

I wanted to know if it would benefit me more running 3 days on road one of these being a hill training session, a 5 mile run and a 6 mile run. Then doing 3 days cross country training and following the same pattern as the road?

I was told that cross country running is much different to road running and will help me to get fitter for my inevitable time at catterick. I just want to no if anyone does a bit of cross country training and if it has helped them at all.

Running on the road is OK although you do tend to give your legs a bit of a pounding (Knees especially), try and make it a 50/50 mix of on/off road.
