thinking of applying

Post by kez267 »

basicaly im thinking of applying im a 17 year old student ( 18 end of the month) and its shit basicaly.!

i did apply when i was 16 but the recruitment officer i had didnt seem to arsed about it all and wasnt much help . i found out half way through the reason for this. he was retiring within the week.

anyways went to selection got deferd on a heart mermour ( spelling ?) went to hospital they said it was all oki etc .

to cut a long story short whats the run times for a 18+ at selection its been while since ive done running seriously do the odd mile / mile and a bit at the gym when go for weights etc.

any advice on running routines would be a big help as i have been lazy with exercise since then untill the last month and a half when ive picked up going back to the gym.

treadmills = no go i know .

Hey mate,

I think this is correct although the only way to find out for sure is go in and talk to someone.

Just what do you hope to do in the forces, now a chap got accepted in to the RAF and was a fairly local lad and he had heart murmur. Now he dropped dead playing football just before he went in for training. So what do you think your chances are, just think in the infantry you are chasing all over the place carrying huge loads and it takes it out of the fittest of men and if you have an underlying health problem it will soon show up,
