Hi,

I am also going through the application process atm to become a musician and also did a week at kneller hall!

From what I've heard the army is making it harder to change jobs in the army because obviously being trained in one job costs lots of money. Talk to your careers officer.
100 sit ups in 2 mins
1.5 mile run in 11-13 mins
BARB - 78
BASIC TESTS - Passed
MEDICAL - differed until 2012 :(

Combat engineering is the ten week course done as part of your Phase Two training, Every RE does it.

The All Arms Commando Course (AACC) is something you can do to earn the Green Beret and the Dagger on the Arm.

Retrading after four years is a very bad idea, you would go from one trade to another and possibly put back yuor chance of promotion by up to two years!

Find a trdae you want to do and go for it,
RANT ON
Remember you get one chance to retrade so its better to get it right first time
Its your career so take some responsibilty for it its not too be taken lightly
RANT OFF
Courage which goes against military expediency is stupidity, or, if it is insisted upon by a commander, irresponsibility."

"So long as one isn't carrying one's head under one's arm, things aren't too bad."

I didn't know before that there's only one chance of retrade.

I'm pretty decided that I want to go for RE now, if I fail my audition. I didn't know about them before I posted this thread. :)

Thanks for the info.

The military's not a bad life these days. I think in some ways it's a better one than past days gone by, if you can stomach all the wars we are fighting now :)

Good luck Rik!
