I've always hated txtspk, don't even use it on my phone!
Personally, I want to apply the same standards I work by to every other area of my life, and I don't understand the 'that'll do' mentality.

If what you have to say is worth saying, then surely it's worth the effort to type it properly?
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

Wholley, my bum looks much better than this in real life ... :P
I'm on a police forum called policespecials.com, which is for the Special Constabulary but there are a number of Regular Officers on there as well.
Come sign up and have a browse around ...

Use txt speak if you must, however when I see a thread using text speak I don't even bother to read it.

Im sure 'lol' can be spared. otherwise the geeks amongst us would have to word perfectly spell out their particular noise that they make when they laugh, which in some cases may be
'HURR HURRR HURRRRRR'
or perhaps,
'HA HA HA HAAAAAAAARRRRR'
'Every man an Emperor'

Before deleting my FB account, I had it set to Pirate language, and used to have a good chuckle at some of the descriptions on there. It's a great, quick way to put a smile on your face

Sorry I started this, although I will say I'm pleased with the input from the young and eager(and the old and bold before I get yelled at again)
On to more serious matters, female bums and pirates or male bums and pirate'ess which ever floats your boat as it where.
Just so you know Soldier_Girl I was a cop in the United States for way too many years,so I'm not sure I'd get along on a British police forum(Pointy heads and no sidearms) :D

Good to see this thread being hi-jacked from a piratical point of view.
Can you get this black spot to Blind Pugh?
AAARRRR!,
Cap'n Pugwash,
C/O the Black Pig.BFPO Main(Spanish)Not the other one which is spelled differently.
Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of highly taxed and somewhat watered down rum. :drinking:

Lest you forget, my sweetness, we have a Firearms division in the UK ... CO19 - which I hope to be a part of in the near future. Oh, not to mention the standard SFO's and AFO's ... you will be welcomed on a British Forum. But, if you don't fancy, then no worries at all!
I'm a gun nut (I love weapons, there you go, I admit it) so would not be so excited about becoming an officer, if there was no opportunity, for me, to enjoy the pleasure of walking around with a Glock and an MP5. mmmmm, happiness is ...
