Alright all, I'm Charlie im 25 and just been recently made redundant and considering a career in the Armed Forces. I am looking forward to alot of helpful stuff from this site ( i will need it)!
Would you have been considering a career in the Armed Forces if you had not been made redundant? It shouldn't be considered as a fallback just because there is nothing else out there.
Oh no that isnt the case First mate! I applied when i first left school but i thought it wasnt the best time to join, I had a decent job and ive been in a good place with job/home life but with me losing my job now its just kind of got me interested in joining again

Take no notice of Firstmate, obviously Andrew and a Seaman Gunner.
No sense of humor(Removed at Whale Island)
INCOMING!!!!!!
He He.
Yes, Andrew. Far too intelligent to be a Seaman Gunner though.
My point was that many people in todays current economic climate think that just because there are few jobs around that the Armed Forces will take just anyone. This is not the case. It is very competive - particularly for the navy - as there is a long waiting list for the majority of jobs.
