I've decided upon the Royal Artillery, but keeping my options open if i make it to Phase 1, cause between week 1-6 there will be visits from all artillery regiments plus a look at phase 2 training. I am doing a solo para jump in two weeks which will help me decide if 7 RHA and all that involves is the path i would like to take. I'm also intrested in working in a FST, maybe with an AS90 Regiment but won't know until later...first things first!

I have read different things about it, my Careers Sgt said aim for under 11mins which isn't too bad.

My fastest is 9:10, but usually around 9:30-40 which is still going some, (feel it at the end mind!!) but as i said anything under 11 will get you in all trades/Corps except direct entry to para's, which i'm not doing even if i go for 7 Para.... that's the good thing about joing a Corps.

Just spoke with my Careers Sgt to arrange my 2nd interview and found out that the Royal Artillery have ceased recruitment for a year, he said there is always the chance of a few months down the line it will open up again but he can't know for sure. They have had such an intake recently that the system is back logged with applicants.

So now i have to go back and go through all my job offers...again....and find something else or wait a year, which is not ideal. Took me enough time deciding on the RA.

so to qoute what a very wise person once said..."d'oh!!!"
