Newbie with a question

Post by MH1982 »

hi all, ive got my barb test on wednesday and when i was talkin to the careers officer last week, he said i need to prove that all court fines are paid off. Why is this and is it really a big deal?? ive been on the rock n roll for a bit now so have been paying them off slowly but still owe quite a bit. I was thinkin if i get in ive got a job and can sort them out but it seems they will deny entry if there is any outstanding. can anybody shed a little light on the matter?

Thanks

Me and my mate both had to pay the fines before we could apply and prove that they were paid. This is just mine and his experience but I’m 99% sure you will have to pay them off before you can go any further. There is a member on here who works in the recruitment team that will give you the definite answer.

My mate has to wait until September because of unspent convictions but the recruiters at careers office are going to let him do his barb test and interview before then.. they said the only thing they cant do is enlist him (whatever they mean by that I’m no sure, could be putting him to ADSC or letting him start training).

Good luck with your application, don’t worry about the barb test its easy enough;)
