Hey,
haven't been online for a while. But I've got a question about deployments.
Is there any limit of being deployed? I mean how often would a cpl/sgt probably be deployed?
I wonder because here e.g. you have to go home after 4 months, 8months the latest. I doubt it is the same in the British Army, so please help me?!
thanks in advance
Idun

Re: Need your help - deployment
tours normally 6 months, mine was 7.5 (don't ask bloody battalion politics)
but job dependent you can stay on and do back to back tours, this is obviously down to how stressful a job you have, you don't want to be doing back to back if operating in constant contact and trust me after 7 months you need a break, i have been back since november and am still finding it hard to re-adjust.
if your based in bastion or kandahar then it's a walk in the park, apart from the med sections hats off to those people the are putting the NHS to shame.
