How so? :-?

ref: adambatley i suppose your right since i got 9.42, the para sergant in my interview said it wasn't bad considering the warm up.

ref:eagleEyes the quickest lad got 8.20 i believe, so everything between mine and his time basically, im a pretty shite short distance runner so i struggled on the run a bit.

ref:A white; they weren't really bothered about suits, although we all brought them we never had to use them.

Because a PFT is the following

2 min press ups
2 min sit ups
800m warm up run squadded followed by 2.4km(1.5miles) run best effort
Things you feel like doing after being hit in the liver :
-Vomitting
-Suffocating
-Shitting yourself
-Passing out
-Crying for your mummy
-Stop taking part in any kind of violent sport.......

may i ask if recruits do the 3.5 mile warm up run followed by the 1.5 mile best effort anytime during training? Or is the PFT run always done with that distance warm up?

Like everything else you need to train for the warmup . do it yourself at home .. run 3miles before you time your 1.5.
expect it too be worse than it acctually is . then when you do it . its not too bad

cool, didnt know about this (prac) till joined this forum. thanks for the write up.
got my ADSC selection at linchfield on 21 may... bricking it a bit, just hope im ready.
my 1.5 is down to 9.33. push ups 60, sit ups 60, heaves 10
but have had my on off days with the run. so gonna do longer distences from now to the 21 may is that a good idea?

Dont push it too hard, last thing you want to do is injure your self now, I've got selection at the same time as you and I'm not too sure how much running to do. I think Ill do longer slower runs just to keep me in shape. I'll see you there mate.
