When are you suppose to be going?, 19th April?.
only you can make the decision buddy, maybe a chat with your AFCO would be a good idea.
What has bought on these second thoughts?.

18th April m8.. When i went on selection, the sargent major there told me if i didn't get in as a junior entry then not to go as an adult, because i wouldnt cope with it! But i decided to go ahead anyway. Now am starting to think that maybe i should wait untill i do a bit of growing up and realize what i really want.

It's completely natural to have worries and concerns!
Don't feel bad about that, we all had (or still have!) them

Have a think about what made you apply in the first place - do you still want what you were setting out to acheive?
And is that still acheivable by doing what you're doing?
If it is, read on... 8)

You might do really well...you wouldn't have passed selection (or been allowed to attend in the first place) if you didn't have some kind of potential.
Everyone else will be feeling the same way on day 1, and it will pass.
If worst comes to worst and it doesn't work out, you gave it a shot - and if you decide to try again when you've done:
a bit of growing up
...then you'll have some experience to your advantage.

hmmm the sgt mjr told you that? well all i can say is that as your prob still young you may come across as being timid. that maybe what hes getting at. its all hurly burly in the forces and if you cant fit in and be apart of a team without being sensitive and gettin upset or looking upset when things a said or shouted at you, then maybe at that point in time its the wrong place to be. I left home at 16. two days after my 16th birthday. it was a complete shock to the system but i hacked it. i just developed a thick skin and tried to get on with it even though being the youngest id always get the naff jobs or most stick. eventually your humour develops and you start to gell and become mates with all the blokes that give you the sh*t in the first place. if i were you id stick to your plan, dive in at the deep end and see what happens. prepare yourself mentally for it all and take things with a pinch of salt. you can always bail out after giving it a fair crack of the whip. after all its better to try than to not even turn up!
