Once you get past the “Septics !!/Deliverance/Dukes of Hazard/Sleep With Your Sister thing” sounds brilliant after a night on the razz…….

Dead simple really. Get tanked up.

The more the better, ‘cos you’ll be “bolder” that way. Find a river teeming with gators snakes, snapping turtles [ worst of the worst ] with zero visibility and dive down and stick your hand in a hole. If something’s there, let it grab your hand and pull it up !! What a hoot.

Many a finger has gone missing. You just know what would happen on a Saturday night if there was a “noodling hole” outside every NAAFI in Germany.

Sadly, also, all the other drivel I've been putting on the NAAFI Bar is just the tip of the iceberg. Rubbish I haven't thought about in thirty years just keeps coming.

Must stop for a while as it is taking me on average a whole day to explain to my missus what half of it means, and then at the end instead of creasing herself, she says either;

"That's horrible...." or "You shouldn't laugh about that poor man.." or "you made that up".

Have decided to tell her the latter each time. Much less effort required.

Musn't mention anything more about dogs, as that really, really upset her [ I happen to like them too ]. As she's not looking I can tell you one of them ended up getting his wings that night. Gerry beret, someone's smock and a sheet. Brilliant landing. No harm done, soft grass and only two stories up. Some larrfed, the RAF handler cried. Really, dog was fine .......
