It will be a while before I can get on a briefing course, so I was wondering if a serving / ex serving member of the SRR could PM me some information.

I'm curious about what sort of things the SRR do in Afghan'... And I'd like some general info' on selection please.

Does Royal not get any presentations by UKSF?

16 Air assault had a number of different presentations from all the UKSF units a while back. I didnt go, but some of the guys said it was quite informative.

Opinions varied but the general consensus was "f@#k SRR, if you want to go SF, do Hereford selection".

It's a completely different job to Poole/Hereford, and the Selection is correspondingly different. I could spin you some second-hand dits on the course, but your best bet is just to ring the recruitment office and get them to send you the glossy recruitment pack as a start point.
