The Green Book

Post by Determination »

Hey I have two questions

first and most importantly where the hell do you get the green book? I've googled it and search this site (inc the shop link) and found nada.

secoundly, I'm 19 and halfway through an apprenticeship (3 year) and hoping to take a university course part time and enjoy the good years of university rugby. are there any courses they look for in candidates (i.e sport or sciences)? and by the time I finish I'd imagine Ill be around 22/23.

Is that too late to "realistically" join?

thanks in advance.

Hello mate, the "green bible" is the Potential Royal Marines booklet you get from the AFCO when you apply. It's like a Pre-PRMC guide to fitness.

As for your age, at 22/23 you'll have a bit more life experience which should stand you in good stead.

thanks for the information...have to confess to feeling like a bit of a dick after that.

well I guess Ill be giving AFCO a visit before I thought I would be.

is there any harm trying to train for that type of fitness with it being that far away?

thanks
