the paras are the paras, the light role are the light role, if you want to be the best then try for the paras again mate. if they are trying to push you into regular infantry, then don't take it and make it clear that the paras are what you really want. for the sakes of an extra two weeks at catterick you will have passed P-coy, have a maroon beret and have rediculously high self-respect... not to mention jump out of a C-130 hercules for a living. if your fitness is up to scratch and the paras are what you want then go for it buddy, the next intake so i have been informed will be sometime in august/september. mate go for it...

If you were deemed unsuitable what age were you at the time of deeming? If classed as junior you may have a case now you are wanting to return as an adult.

If a para regt rupert has said no then I doubt anyone within the regt will go against the decision and give you another crack.
