If you wernt in the army , what would you be doing?

Alright ,
Im 17 and and the moment all I want to do is royal engineers as an equipment mechanic , But if I where to choose something out side I think it would be a plant mechanic or somehting similer.

Im just wondering what you are doing within the army , ie engineers , signals , infantry etc and if you where not in the army what you do?
