Need a training partner that's willing to push themselves till they drop. Helps if you're a good runner.

Whereabouts are you situated mate? Literally in Birmingham centre?
- If you overtrained, it means that you didn't train hard enough to handle that level of training

- Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did

What part of Birmingham you from? I'm not that far from Bearwood/Halesowen/Quinton area if you live around there. Oh and what do you mean by a good runner? I was running 5-7 milers until i stopped a few months ago, shouldn't take me long to get back up to that. What you training for anyway?

No need to thank me for correcting your spelling.

Same mate, I'm training for the RMR too. Do you know when the next intake is after September as I don't know if I'll be ready by then, don't fancy waiting until next September though to be honest. Where do you work? I'm still at college, looking to start ambulance technician training when I finish. I'm too skinny mate, I need to put weight on if anything.

Hey jm745, I work as a firefighter at Ladywood station. I am pretty sure the intake for the Birmingham detachment of the RMR is september only, so if you miss this one you will have to wait to the following September, but dont quote me on that. The best thing to do is to give them a call, they will have all the information, and at the very least you can register your interest and recieve the literature to make a more informed decision.

Cheers, call me Joe mate, chatting to you on most of the threads anyway. Ye I don't fancy waiting a year, I think I'll phone them and try to sort it for September.

Joe it is, I'm Daz by the way!!!! Personally I think you have got plenty of time to get in before the selection weekend, I think from when I contacted the RMR to my invitation to holding troop was only three months, so you should have more than enough time. Just make sure you keep on top of your training mate.
