Pay during Basic

Post by mattmcd01 »

Before I start I will just clarify that I have used the search button but have found nothing that answers my question specifically.

O.k, I have read numerous posts about this cash in hand business during the first 10 weeks of basic, from what I gather it is around the £50 a week mark. My question is what happens with the rest? Is the 50 notes just for essentials whilst on basic, the rest being paid into your bank account? Or do they hold onto it until you 'pass out'?

Any advice, as always, will be greatly appreciated.
Matthew

Thanks Mark.f, I have applied to the Scots Guards. That link was very helpful, it explains everything that I needed to know.
