hey has any one got any good advice
higher im new to this forum, but ive applied for the marines and i have been traing, but i used to do wide pressups but now ive read that you have to do the marine style pushups, i find them quite hard n they hurt my wrists any advice please?
Just start doing a small number of pressups with the normal form.
I used to di wide arm pressups and could do a few but when I found out I had to them "properly" I struggled at first. Now they're very easy.
If you do something like 3 x 30 pressups and built up from that, then you may as well start from the beginning of whatever training program you do in regards to the pressups.

let me be the first to say watch how you type. People on here dont take kindly to shortend words, and just general slopyness.
Secondly, if you can run 1.5miles in 6 minutes 13 then thats quite amazing, almost olympic standard I'd say. You wont be able to do that on a PJFT as the treadmill wont go that fast.
And thirdly dont sweat the push ups to much, as long as you stop doing wide arm and instead do elbows in press ups every chance you have you should be fine.
Cheers

Rubbishing incoming!Darren82 wrote:6min 13 secs = 373 seconds & 1.5km = 1500 metres
So my calculations, running at that speed it would take you 596 seconds to run 2400 metres
596 seconds = 9mins 54 seconds APPROXIt is early after all!
Anyone feel free to rubbish my maths but I'm canny confident it's correct
I can run my bft in 8 minutes on the nose.
Would that result in being able to run 3 miles in 16 minutes? Most i have ever done is 18:34 for 3 miles.
Anyway, technically your maths is sound but i am sure you know you can't discount fatigue. Especially if this bloke is use to running 1.5km then it will start to hurt near the end.
I would guess 10:30 to 11:00 minutes.
And Dovey1001rm do not use text speak on this website, it is frowned by both the users and the moderators.
Anyway just keep plugging out the runs. Don't just run the bft though, run between 3-5 miles then the 1.5 will become a lot easier.ye so i did 1.5 km in 6 mins lol ill have to increase the speed then next time and make sure i run 2.4 km thnx
