First weekend in field with RMR this weekend. Just wandering if anyone had any top tips or pieces of kit they would recommened taking for whatever purpose. Bargains and cheap alternatives would be very much obliged!

As mentioned above it depends on training team.
Massively obvious ones are nutty- its always good to be constantly munching, good powerful lighter, a head torch with red light- however i assume you'll already have that. A watch, some guys didnt have one on our first weekend. Bivvy poles too maybe but again wait untill you hear from your training team.
Thats about it for your first weekend, of what i can remember, not much will be expected of you (you hope!) but as time goes by you'll (hopefully) start to become wiser as you turn into the crafty commando you aspire to be!
