end of foundation

Post by lodgi »

Heyup lads and lasses. Just on weekend leave after foundation. It feels like its been years since I was on here. As you can tell by the topic subject I've just finished foundation module of training. It's been, how can I put it......................................different. I hated the first two weeks, I missed home and the girlfriend like mad, but you do feel better after a few weeks. The physical side of things is the easiest bit to be honest. THe hard bit is getting up in a morning and cleaning the f*ck out of your accomadation. Or having 10 minutes to run to your grot get a shower, get changed and fall in outside. Or staying up until gone 1am to do your ironing then getting up at 5.30am. We've just started doing a bit of interesting stuff though. Like Close Quarter Combat (fighting basically) and learning weapons drills, like stripping your weapon down or changing magazines.

Good luck to everyone who's joining soon, i'll see your face down there but I won't know who your are :)

I wouldn't say easy, but it's just what you train for, you don't train at ironing your bed sheets or folding your socks so that they have smiley faces at the end. We've been doing stuff like circuit training and sprints.

On pay: we got a £100 advance when we got here, and we just received a further £200 advance. We'll be getting paid the rest at the end of the month.
