Medical worry

Post by Roger »

Hello, I'm shi**ing bricks about the medical, even though I dont know when i'll have it yet.

I was Medically Discharged from para training back in 2004, only got to week 6 as well. Any how, I was MD because My knee was being a bender, I'm still not sure what the injury was, I was just MD and told that I would be allowed to re-apply once it had healed. I just had some serious aches all around and in my knee after a PT session, I twisted it arkwardly I think, the pain went when I was lying down or just sitting but came back when I tried to jog, it took 3 months to bugger off.

Anyway it is fully healed now, and has been for some time, will this problem stop me from passing the medical?

Cheers

As long as you can do what they ask you to do without screaming out in pain you should have no problems. Quite a few bods I know have had to leave the forces due to injuries. One bloke broke his hip whilst in training at CTCRM. First time he was in Hunter Troop for months then at last got back into recruit training only for the hip to go bad again.

After two years he was medically discharged from the Corp, with the option of rejoining after a couple of years. I see him now and then and his whole way of life revolves around getting back to CTCRM to hack CDO training and getting that Green Lid.

So if I was in your shoes I'd quit worrying about the past on concentrate on the future.
