do you mind telling us why you failed eddie?

It was just low scores in general i had 30 press-ups, 56 sit-ups which they said wasnt too bad but i was still dissapointed. 3 pull-ups and only got 9.5 on the bleep test i think that sealed the deal.

I kniow who you are Mcgill i got the train to birmingham with you i was purple 5 looks like the hole team is nearly here :D . They gave me six months which was a little harsh as im sure i could crack it in 3 or maybe less but ill ring my AFCO and see what they im deffinatley getting myself back down though.

So why do they put the minimums if they dont stick to them or do they think its best you not bother with low scores?

How hard is the warm up before gym test 1? Because i can normally push out around 40 push ups maybe more after my upper body workout which kills my arms 8)

It's a bleep test.

Eagleeye the first thing we did in the gym before we started gym test 1 was fall in in 3 ranks infront of the PTI, he told us what the gym rules were ect and its strict lads so do as you are told don't scratch or look around the gym or anything like that or you will just make life harder on yourself because they will make you sprint up and down a few times or do press ups.

We did abit of running on the spot before we started bleeptest but that was it nothing that makes you breathless pal :D

Yeah I'm definitely going back in 6 months. The worst thing about gym test 1 was holding the press up position through the explanations before we could start. And I had to do tuck jumps before the sit ups

I got:
32 pressups
57 sit ups
6 pull ups
10.3, bleep test
3:49 Assault course
10:36 on the 1.5 mile best effort.

Bad luck mate I'm sure you'll crack it next time. Did they give you any indication that you would have passed had it not been for your 3 mile time?

I think I would've passed if I'd have made the 3 miler, but the Sergeant Major said that my assault course time and bleep test score weren't top notch either, so I was given six months to work on my running before coming back.

Bleep test 10.3
Assault course 3:49

Do you know who the guy was that failed the 3 miler by a few milliseconds? The look on his face when he came in and told us was quality  bless him, at least he laughed it off though.
