Couple questions for RT...

Post by euro_andrew »

Hey guys just a couple questions:

1. Do we need to bring fairly new civvie trainers with us?.. will we be
using them much?

and

2. Here is the kit I am taking down to CTCRM... can anyone think of anything else?

(Some of the stuff not mentioned but is on the official kit list is being taken)

- Shoe polishing kit with bag and bulling cloths
- Speedo swimming undernackers.
- comb, spare blades, nail brush
- Metal cleaner + polisher
- Roll on blister preventor + blister tape
- Ear plugs
- Ibuprofen gel tubes + tablets
- Small First aid kit which fits into webbing
- Bio-cool chemical ice gel
- Small hand mirror (unbreakable)
- bars of soap
- 2x sets of insoles with arch support for boots and trainers.
- Cloths brush (both tape and fabric brush)
- Protein powder + shaker and protein bars.
- small pocket knife
- LED Mag light with red lenses
- dust magnetising cleaning cloths
- random scrubbing brush
- black and white markers
- King of shaves oil
- Light tent pegs
- 2x turbo lighters
- 4 plug extentsion cable

hi,

Your kit list look's fine but you really don't need to take any protein shake's or bar's at all as you get all you need from the food down there so you don't need to take supplement's. Also take some reseable bag's in different size's as the one's in the naafi are rubbish. You don't need to take your black and white markers or a scrubbing brush as you get stationary when you get there as well as a bucket and a scrubbing brush. You need civvie trainer's when you go ashore or to scran in civvie's so they should be clean but they don't have to be brand new or anything. Hope this help's.

No.

Add a sense of humour to that list, that's the most important thing.

lol I do have a sense of humour, and yes I am packing it!!

but Id rather prepare now, so that I dont have to bother
about it later.. and while the other guys are running around trying
to get kit I will be able relax and actually put my sense of humour to
some use!

:P

kit list looks fine mate , yeh fairly decent civvy trainers , no ripped or faded civvys, ermm you do get the famous silver shadow trainer when you get down there so no worries on that one . and yeh take a good flashlight , saves you having to spend 20-25 quid down there for one . good luck in rt fellas.

SPOT ON!

Most of the stuff you will use in training is going to be issued to you. Save for a good Porn mag.

Make sure you got a few dozen DVDs as this will get you a favourable position with your training team. They love porn. You lend them porn and maybe on ex they might do a naafi run and you might get something.
