PRMC Passed (26-29th) :)

Post by euro_andrew »

Yes! Ive finally done it.

Passed my PRMC. The first day was not as hard as I thought it would be but the second day was a hang out never done anything that hard in my life. We had a pretty strong bunch of lads 23-26 passed out of 40. One thing im not looking forward to, is the PTI's.. we had this PTI who was about 5ft-5 and scary as hell! lol

I have just booked my RT hopefully getting a place for the 15th or 30th of april.

Cheers for all your help guys!

- Andy

Like alot of people say.. dont ever give up and try to keep at the front of the pack during the bottom field and the gym test 2. Other then the second day its a breeze.

Oh and on the assault course try to listen to everything they say and do it right time first. If you have to go back you get PTI's learning your name and shouting their heads off at you! (I learned this the hard way :x)

Good effort euro_andrew, the first day is fairly straight forward, its everything you trained for 3 miler, press ups etc... but your right second day is a hang out, you just have to keep going, anyway like i said good effort.
There's a few of us from here that has RT 30th april, i couldn't get the 16th thou, and i passed back in feb.!

I really wanna get through first time so I'm giving it my all!
I've gotta work on my attention span though...I always used to drift off at school and never remember what they said! :lol:

Hopefully I'm older and wiser now.....or one of the two anyway! ;)

What were the gym tests like? Did anyone fail on the situps, pressups, etc?

well done, second day was my favourite part, i love having to swallow my own vomit, that or throw up in the tunnel, PTI's are the scariest men i've ever met, them and sergeants on the rampage, not sure they would want their names up here tho, use initials, it keeps it a bit vague, and anyone who knows what your talking about will know who you mean

It's not the dorito shaped gentleman that's scary. It's the short, stocky, angry one... :o I don't think he likes running PRMCs.

I dont remember seeing him macca, but yeah the PTI's didnt show us our scores but I got a glance at my score sheet in the interview.. I think it was:

3miler = 10.23 (for some reason I did it in a shit time, think I was just tired)
Pushups= 52
situps= 69
pullups= stopped at 7.
Assualt course= 3.23
high marks on Gym test 2

AndyG321: What were the gym tests like? Did anyone fail on the situps, pressups, etc?

Yeah a couple did, but one guy got only 16 pressups and still got a pass!
So dont worry just go crack it.
