fitness mind and the jack in demons

Post by spanners »

why is it that alot of people who are in training for getting in the forces are always getting injured.i take it most of you are in the 16_25 age bracket your bodies at that age should be up to doing the basic fitness required to get you to prmc,it strikes me you are either doing to much or doing the wrong typ of training dont get to obsesive about a certain level of fitness just go out there do all your running on soft ground get yourself chin up bar for the house and do the pushups ,pressups etc the fitness will come. passing any sort of basic training is 30% fitness 70% mental you could be the fittest guy in the world but at 3oclock in the morning its pissing down ,your cold tireand your told to navigate to an rv and this is your first training ex. being able to do x amount of pressups x amount of miles at x amount of speed is irrelevent ,what are very real are the jack in demons messing with your head ,thats why people fail training not because they couldent hack the fitness, that is built up for you in training....so get out ther enjoy your training to get yourself through prmc but dont go mad eny body who does any sort of sport outside college school or work should be of agood enough fitness level to pass it, with the adittion of some pullups pressups etc god luck and remember ....chill out a bit

Guys ignore the other WUM he will be gone soon.

I think Spanners has a fair point, we have said before aim for a good level of fitness do some circuit training instead of weights and make sure you hydrate/warm up before you exercise

Sh!t hot post. 8)

Sod anyone who tells me what they think i can and cant do, no matter who they are - self belief goes along way guys.

We all know many fine examples of that. One of my fav rugby players - Jonah Lomu, is a perfect example of this! He has been sick ever since he started playing rugby, constant kidney problems and he was only ever playing at about 75% of his ability and look at how damaging he was? Now hes fixed and getting fitter (im predicting a 2007 World Cup return) he is going to be playing at 100% - i cannot wait to see that because he wants to be playing rugby at a level the world hasn't seen yet! Nothing shook his self belief, even when the doctors told him that he should really consider packing up his rugby career.

A big motivator for me.
