Alright AND1. Welcome to the site. over the past few months that I've been training my fitness has improved greatly. I've gone from 15 and a 1/2 stone couch potato  down to 11 and a 1/4 stone :P . When I first started training my 1.5 mile was just under 13mins, haha. Now its 8.07, 3 miler 18 mins, pressups 63 from 20, pullups 12 from 2, situps 75 (cant remember how many when I started). Also bleep test score in school was around 8 (was a while ago), new PB is 13.4. I,ve kept my training regime simple, 2 days on one day off.

4x4milers/week
1x6.5miler/week
sets of 40 pressups throughout the day
sets of 60 situps throuout the day
few sets of max pullups
try to go swimming when I can aswell but unfortunately this is not often.

I'd like to thank MF&T and its members for all the help and inspiration over the past few months because without it I dont think I'd have gotten the results I have, and for all the invaluable info leading upto PRMC. Cheers guys and gal (Flo)

Anyway enough of my rambling on im off for a pint and a game of pool.

Cheers xcj and Iles. I've been training for about 9 months. Got injured (knee and ankle) so was out for about a month but now trying to get back upto peak fitness for RT.
Those are good scores AND1, just keep at it and the results will follow. Are you training for PRMC?

Sorry foxtrot, I don't quite understand, are you saying you have been soing 5 x 1km?

If so, do you find this usefull?

I'm struggling with my 3 mile time and I don't know whether to do some half mile/1k splits or long runs, like 6mile+ ??
