RMAD done!

Post by ChrisBell »

Well just got back from my RMAD was a very good experience. Ok well you need 18 points for them to feel safe to send you to PRMC.

I got 16 but my afco said since you were very close they would feel good on sending me to PRMC in 6-8 weeks time as this will give me time to get fitter.

My scores :press ups 31(had some deducted)
sit ups 58
pull ups 6(just!!)
Bleep test 9.7(need to practice this!)
3 miler pass

Now i would definitely recommend you doing a RMAD as it gives you a great idea of your fitness. My afco said the group was very fit usually people get 16,17,18 but quite a few got 22.

Im also getting a pass to a navy gym near where i live as the Navy ptis do circuits which he says are just as good as marine ones. So all in all im happy(but obviously should of done better!)

Cheers Gar.

Press ups:40
sit ups:60
pull ups:4-5
3 miler: 22.23

The reason I didnt achieve some of these scores were I havnt trained as hard recently and iv kept the same program for to long. So im changing my program and have renewed motivation!

Good work mate. Did you get to talk to any of the PTI to see if they think your ready?

Did you run your 3miler as a troop?

You will want to get your bleep test to 11+ just to be safe at PRMC. also get your pullups to 7+ with no trouble.

Good work mate, your on the right track.
Just Lie back and think of England.

When I went down for my first RMAD I got 22.

40 pushups, 71 situps, 7 pullups with 3miler pass.

2nd time I went down when injured, I failed the 3miler,

but still got 21.

41, 86, 7 pullups (max.)
Just Lie back and think of England.

Well done dude.
Before you insult someone, first walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you insult them, you are a mile away and you have their shoes.

A fool learns by his own mistakes, a wise man learns by others.

The most fun iv had in months! On the 3 mile run when i was blowing out my arse the marine behind me was saying "there all doing your missus mate" as i was lagging behind and I spluttered "i haven't got a missus" and his reply"doesn't matter go catch them!" Great stuff!

Haha quality mate :D one question for you though: when did you get told to go on a RMAD was it when you passed your PJFT or did you ask if you could go on one because my AFCO haven't mentioned a thing about this to me yet but i quite like the sounds of it as it would give me alot more confidence i'm sure and also give me and them an idea of what my fitness is like

cheers

They told me when I had done my PJFT. Not all afco's send you on them but if you ask them and theres one available Id definitely do it.

I think its up to the afco and where you do your RMAD as mine said either you can do another RMAD or we send you on a later PRMC to give you more time to get fitter.
