Regarding the PRMC vid, showed it me mum and she was shocked to say the least at what i had to do on PRMC and what ive got to come in RT! i dont think some people realise just what it takes to get in and become a Royal Marine Commando

Just wish i could show it to some of the tw@ts who i used to go college with (and would get tired climbing the stairs let alone the 12 ft wall!) or the teachers who gave me shit for wanting to join the marines instead of going to uni and "getting lots of useful qualifications..." nobs!

sorry slipped into a little rant there lol :o :D

I have shown my mum alot of videos of the training and PRMC now and she just thinks "my God thats tough" and she supports me 100% but worries it might be too much of a shock to me as i am 17, but i feel as though i have the potential and want it so bad so im going for it :D.

My mates sometimes take the mick aswel saying things like "dont bend down for that soap" and stuff like that but they have no idea how much i want to bend down for that soap hahaha only joking fellas :D . i would love to see ma mates say that face to face with a Marine, i think they would be bricking it!! but at the end of the day they will be doing boring old civvy jobs whilest im constantly making great mates, traveling the world, getting new experiences, taking part in activities most civvys cant and learning more about life so whos got the better deal!! but i have still got a hell of a way to go before that can ever happen :D

the guy on the P Coy vid (Skinhead, looks like a barrell, who sticks his fingers up to the camera) looks like a monster. :o and if you look closely i swear you can see him shouting "F*cking hell, cover off!"...reminds me of the Sgt. Maj on 3 miler at PRMC lol

I'm exactly same. Some of my mates can't understand at all why I would want to join the forces. I can't imagine why any young lad wouldn't want to, going off with a right good bunch of lads, active lifestyle, seeing different places and people, p*ss ups in far off lands, shagging women from all over....sounds like the perfect job to me.

Some people are like, "but you'll be away from all your mates", sod that, you'll make new mates. PLus, if they are good mates they will still be there when you get back.
