Fantastic pics there and like you say, good to know that the majority think our boys are doing a excellent job out there.

Some really bone comments on there as well though!

Well what do you expect from people who consider Uncle, Sams, Misguided, Children (The USMC) to be the dogs bollocks then? Nice lads but by heck they don't half Ooo Rah! Kill! Kill! Kill! a bit to much for my likeing!! :D

I worked with the USMC once or twice whilst serving. Once had a USMC Staff Sgt in charge of me when I was in 3 CDOBDRM HQ&Sigs. A Staff Sgt Hank Marzella. I could not abide the PRONG.

One Crimbo do at the Fleet Club, Guz. I went as Bob Fergusons "Girlfriend". Bob was an Owd Three Badger. HANK took one look at me dressed as a woman and ordered me to leave and get into correct rig........Told him to Feck Off! This resulted in him threatening to have me charged. Our OC Captain "Oggie" Pickett RM overheard HANKS threats to Ickle me and promptly told HANK to feck off!!

Come the Monday morning HANK took me to one side and again threatened me, but this time with violence............Five seconds later HANK discovered that it's not a good idea to threaten a Royal Marine out of sight of everyone else. It took them six weeks to massage his knackers back down from behind his lugholes!!! After that he was sent back to the USA with a less than perfect writeup. Silly, silly person.

Mate of mine served on Diego Garcia for a year, said the yanks would literally swap anything for a green beret - one guy offered him a copy of his home-made porno (of him and his wife) with the promise that there is some rear-door action included! RM politely declined the offer :D

Probably best directed to Steve,

On the shoulder of the RM uniforms some of the guys have on, what does the badge with the dagger on it under the Royal Marine Commando's badge mean?
Just Lie back and think of England.

brillient pictures, im a little bit confused though, in the 3rd picture form the bottom the guy getting patched up by the nurse, in the navy, she is wearing a commando's dagger? Is this because she is on operations out there? I though you had to do the commando tests to earn this though at that women were not permitted to do the tests.

Those pictures are brilliant.

In the replies on that forum it says a para got hit in the chest with a .50cal and the new combat body armour stopped it, does any one know if this is true? because I thought they tore through just about anything. If so thats pretty impressive considering the fuss everyone here is making about inferior equipment.
