I was led to believe it was for preparation for selection weekend (PRMC)

Predominantly fitness. But you may get chances to sit in on lessons on map reading, weapons training and other monkeys and parrots.

That's actually a Positive :D. You do not get paid until you are well into phase 1 though. I know this because alot of recruits have just got it through.
POC June 5th - PASSED
AIB July 3rd - PASSED

yeah apologies you do get back paid but obviously only if you pass selection and carry on into phase 1, you dont get paid just for turning up though if you see what i mean.

its to help you prepare for selection and help you with fitness as well as making sure all your admin stuff is done for joining.

join portsmouth holding troop for next intake in about 5 months hopefully...
