When doing your press ups, at the end of your set hold yourself at the top of the press up position in lock out and hold it there as long as you can, then do 5-10 press ups where you stop at the bottom for a couple of seconds and stop at the top for a couple of seconds.
This was done alot though the determination test in bottom field and in Gym test 2, press ups i don't find hard anymore, but i found just staying locked out was very hard.
If you're able to do this with ease then when they do this in bottom field it will be like a rest position, but for me i was just shaking like a leaf!
Hope it helps someone.

tip for when you have to hold it at bottom.
although it is cheating in a way.
Put your hands close together and when you go low you can rest on your forearms and it doesnt look like you are lying down.
can be a bit painful on your wrists though.

Yeah the Marines style press-ups are useful for that kind of exercise. Wide arm is so much harder.taimos wrote:tip for when you have to hold it at bottom.

iareglenn We done loads, and i do not think you have time to count, as your focus in on the exercise itself. the pressup numbers had a few 0's onit, i know that much. LOL
hahaha, yeah Jack1988 that bottom field was a hangout man.. i can not believe we were on it for 3 hours.
Jack1988 Garet has got your RT date (I think someome pulled out), i recall him saying that he was going to try and change it to my date, but that was before i told him you was on the 22nd too, so i think he might keep it.
I will let you know as soon as he lets me know, unless you already got his number.
