Underwear to RT
Hi,
I start RT on 27th November and i'm going through all my kit lists and have looked on here as well, but do I need to take alot of my own underwear or do they provide it for me?
ie. do i need to take socks and y-front or can you wear boxers, any specific colours etc.?
Thanks
Adam

Jesus, you must be joking!. CTC provide food, but they won't give you free pants.adam.gaskell wrote:do I need to take alot of my own underwear or do they provide it for me?
Boxers all the way. I did not think they still made y-fronts, you must be joking about all the rest.adam.gaskell wrote:ie. do i need to take socks and y-front or can you wear boxers, any specific colours etc.?

Like the wedge said, no they wont supply any. Take at least 5 pairs.adam.gaskell wrote:Hi,

Our PTI advised us to buy the y-front type eventually though as during speed marches, and long yomps, boxer shorts will rub and cause discomfort.

Does the list say you should take toothpaste? Or a belt for your civvy kit? What about your wallet? If thats not on there, you really better not take it...

Not 100% sure yet mate. Waiting on an appointment with an orthopeadist who can refer me onto a specialist or get an MRI. Then when I'm 100% over my injury I can re-join. I'm thinking of re-joining, but not 100% certain yet as I gotta do it all over again from scratch (including prmc).Bennie wrote:daveb what are you going to do now youve been discharged? are you going to go back in?

Actually 'Spooky' the kit list does say take toothpaste, belt, money etc. And I got told other than the few pairs of civvy kit i'll be taking they'll supply the rest! Obviously Not!....Dick

Dick?
Or just go ahead and call a member of your training team that when give you a little bit of a rough time for something you should have engaged your brain on.
Its so reassuring to know that their are people joining our armed forces are in a position of thinking being told something is common sense entitles them to call people names.
And attention to detail: Did I say money?
What was the point of the ' ' around your addressing me by the way 'Adam' ..?
