They used to call them Goats in the the Regular Army :D

The only ML's are members of the Royal Marines and the RNLMC (Dutch Marines) as they both do the same course at Stonehouse Barracks or at least they did. The Army don't do the ML's course although some Commando Trained Army blokes did do the MSI course (Military Ski Instructors course) when attached to certain units within 3CDOBDERM and helped the ML's when taking an AWT course though to completion.

I think Exarch maybe confused:

You do get Mountain Leadership courses in the other services but its not the same thing. Its more for recreational, or at most Mountain Rescue types. Reason why I say this is a friend, who is an adult instructor in the cadets has done a course where there were civillian and military trainees taking part. It was pure safety in the mountains stuff, no fieldcaft or anything like that. Probably wrong though.
