Bleep test
Hi guys,
Just a quick question mainly for the blokes who've done the PRMC. When doing the bleep test, is your final score the one that is called out e.g when it says start of level 10 does that mean the final score is 10 because i was told that it means 9 because that is the number of levels completed.
Cheers

The beep test increases by levels and stages 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 etc you are scored by each level and stage of the test.
Download the test from here.

Thanks for the reply,
I have downloaded the test and have been practicing it, but was wanting to know whether they take the score that was last read out, e.g 10.4, or the actual number of levels completed which would be 9.4 cos it would make quite a difference.
Cheers

Nope. It's the last line you actually MADE. So to get level 11, you actually need to be taken off the bleep test (ie have missed your third line) at 11.4. The reason I say 11.4 is that there isn't an 11.0. It's 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 etc etc. So 11.4 - 0.3= 11.1, which is the first stage of level 11.speedfreak wrote:Your score will be whatever stage the tape is currently at.... If you miss the line for the 3rd time when going for the 11.3 bleep.... your score is 11.2
As for is it harder on POC/PRMC. Not in terms of the test itself, but what you have to consider is the effect of nerves/adrenaline. By the time I got to level 4 I had a pulse rate of 190, just through nerves.

Well for gym passout were getting whatever level before the one we dont make... if i miss two attempts at a level and im on my last chance... lets say i make 11.5, make 11.6 then miss the 11.7 mark... were going to get scored down as getting 11.6 - Maybe its just our PTI i dunno, but whatever im going till the end of the tape anyway so there'll be no arguments...
